WOMEN'S COLLEGE BASKETBALL: NEWARK VALLEY GRAD BENJAMIN SCORES IN DOUBLE-FIGURES IN FIRST TWO GAMES OF SEASON (2024-11-13)

ALFRED, N.Y. — Newark Valley grad Taylor Benjamin, a junior on the Alfred State women's basketball team, scored in double-figures in each of the Pioneers' first two games.

In a season-opening 77-45 loss at Houghton College Friday, Benjamin scored 10 points and grabbed eight rebounds, to go along with one steal in 28 minutes.

Benjamin followed up the opener with 14 points, including a pair of 3-pointers, six rebounds, and two assists in a 65-50 home loss to SUNY Cobleskill on Tuesday.

Alfred State returns to action Saturday when it hosts Delhi.
