THE WEEK AHEAD: POSTSEASON ACTION ALL ON SATURDAY (2024-11-11)

TIOGA COUNTY — All of this week's action is on Saturday, and it features the state cross country meet, a pair of state playoff volleyball matches, and a Section IV championship being contested on the gridiron.

The following are all of the varsity postseason events this week:

SATURDAY
•  Owego has a large contingent of athletes at the New York State Cross Country Championships at Queensbury High School.

•  Candor volleyball hosts Section III Lafayette in the quarterfinals of the New York State Class D volleyball championships.

•  Owego volleyball is in the North Country for the New York State Class A quarterfinals. The River Hawks will play either Section VII champ Peru or Section X champ Massena at either Saranac or Massena.

•  Owego football takes on powerhouse Maine-Endwell in the Section IV, Class B championship game at Johnson City High School.
