TIOGA COUNTY — It's a busy Saturday afternoon with a Tioga-SVEC football playoff game, the Owego boys' state playoff soccer game, and the Owego volleyball's Section IV, Class A title game headlining the docket.

FOOTBALL
Section IV Playoffs
Class D Semifinals
3-SVEC (5-4) vs. 2-Tioga (6-3), noon @ Susquehanna Valley H.S.:
The Tigers are coming off a 35-28 win over B-G in the final week of the regular season, while the Eagles thumped Schuyler, 47-21.

Tioga will be getting starting QB Jayden Duncanson, and two-way starters Shane Platukis and Logan Bellis back.

"We're going to be as healthy as we can be this week," said Tioga coach Nick Aiello, noting seniors Shea Bailey and Brennan Sindoni are out for the season.

Senior Jake Browne has emerged last Tioga's go-to guy in the backfield. He leads the Tioga ground game with 1,362 yards and 19 TDs on 165 carries, and has 713 yards and nine TDs in the last two games.

SVEC has a pair of running backs in Charlie Hilbert, who rushed for 305 yards and four TDs last week, and Logan Aman, who rushed for four TDs in a game earlier this season, capable of doing a lot of damage.

Tioga has outscored its opponents by an average of 27.7 to 23.6 per game, while SVEC has bested its foes by an average of 26.1 to 22.8.

The Tigers are 4-1 against and have outscored their Class D opponents this season by an average of 37 to 24.2.

In their first meeting this season, Tioga blanked SVEC, 28-0, at S-VE.

Class A Quarterfinals
Our Lady of Lourdes vs. Owego (19-0), 6 p.m. @ U-E:
The River Hawks are coming off a come-from-behind, 2-1, win over Maine-Endwell in the Section IV finals, while Section IX champ Lourdes outlasted Section I champ Rye, 5-3, Wednesday in the state quarterfinals.

VOLLEYBALL
Section IV Playoffs
Class A Finals
2-Owego (17-0) vs. Maine-Endwell (7-5), 1 p.m. @ Tioga:
The River Hawks are coming off a five-set win over Corning in the STAC Championships, while the Spartans closed out the regular season with a win over Binghamton.

GIRLS SWIMMING
Class B Championships, 2 p.m. at M-E H.S.:
Junior Sophia Lee is the second seed in the 50-yard freestyle, and 100-yard backstroke, and sophomore Ava Murphy is the second seed in the 100-yard butterfly.

The River Hawks advanced all three relays, and 10 individuals (in 18 individual event entries).
