CANDOR — Top-seeded Candor breezed through pool play with a 6-0 record to advance to Sunday's Section IV, Class DD championship match at Tioga.

The Coyotes will square off with Newfield, which pulled out a playoff win over Delhi to advance.

Newfield and Delhi each finished pool play at 3-3, while Deposit-Hancock was 0-6.

Candor opened the day with a sweep of Deposit-Hancock by scores of 25-9 and 25-11, then swept Delhi by scores of 25-18 and 25-14.

The Coyotes finished off their perfect night with a sweep of Newfield by scores of 25-11 and 25-15.

Newfield and Delhi split in pool, with Delhi winning the first set 25-19, and Newfield answering with a 25-17 win.

Newfield and Delhi both swept Deposit-Hancock to set you their playoff.

Emmi Makie led Candor with 33 service points, including 10 aces, 17 kills, and five digs, while Phoebe Swartz had 26 points, including eight aces, 11 kills, two blocks, 47 setter assists, and seven digs, and Jill Teribury added 21 points (three aces).

Kate Stouffer has 12 points (three aces), eight kills, and 19 digs for the Coyotes, while Nicola Soper added seven points, 27 kills, and 11 digs, and Malley Heidl chipped in with six points (two aces), four kills, five assists, and five digs.

Candor and Newfield will square off Sunday at 1 p.m. at Tioga.
