SVEC'S HILBERT NAMED GUTHRIE COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION BOYS "ATHLETE OF THE WEEK"Hilbert had a big impact on both sides of the ball to lead SVEC to a 47-21 win over Schuyler in the regular-season finale.
Hilbert ran for a career-high 305 yards and four TDs on 29 carries.
Defensively, he had several tackles, including two tackles-for-losses, and an interception.

CANDOR'S MAKIE NAMED GUTHRIE COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION GIRLS "ATHLETE OF THE WEEK"Makie averaged 18 service points, nine kills, and one block in wins of Moravia and S-VE.
Makie had 13 points, six kills and one block in a sweep of Moravia in regular-season finale Monday.
In the IAC Small School championship match Friday, Makie had 23 service points, including three aces, 12 kills, one block, and six digs in a sweep of S-VE.
