TIOGA COUNTY SPORTS REPORT: SVEC'S AMAN, OWEGO'S HERCEG NAMED GUTHRIE COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION 'ATHLETES OF THE WEEK' (2024-10-21)

TIOGA COUNTY — SVEC junior Logan Aman scored three first-quarter TDs to lead the Eagles to a blowout win over Oxford, while Owego senior Lexi Herceg led the River Hawks to a pair of wins, and a strong showing at the Patti Perrone Classic. They are the Tioga County Sports Report / Guthrie Community Credit Union "Athletes of the Week," for the week ending Oct. 19.

SVEC'S AMAN NAMED GUTHRIE COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION BOYS "ATHLETE OF THE WEEK"
Aman accounted for three TDs in SVEC's 54-8 Homecoming win over Oxford.

Aman returned the opening kickoff 80 yards for a score, then added TD runs of 23 and 58 yards in the first quarter.

He finished the game with 122 yards on five carries.

OWEGO'S HERCEG NAMED GUTHRIE COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION GIRLS "ATHLETE OF THE WEEK"
Herceg led Owego to wins over Windsor and Norwich, as well as an appearance in the Gold Bracket semifinals at the Perrone Classic in Horseheads.

Lexi Herceg 36 setter assists in the 3-1 win over Windsor, and 17 assists and eight aces in a sweep of Norwich.

Herceg led the River Hawks to a 6-0 mark in pool play at the Perrone, and a win over Ithaca in the quarterfinals.
