TIOGA COUNTY — Newark Valley football is on the road at Ithaca, and a number of Tioga County teams are in action at the Horseheads Volleyball Tournament, and the Marathon Cross Country Invitational on a slow Saturday.
FOOTBALL
Newark Valley (1-5) at Ithaca (1-5), noon: The Cardinals are coming off a 32-14 loss to Tioga, while the Little Red dropped a 48-0 decision to Windsor.
Newark Valley has been outscored by an average of 32.3 to 13.3 points per game, while Ithaca has been outscored by an average of 28.1 to 18.1 points per game.
Two of Ithaca’s losses (21-19 to Dryden, and 20-19 to Binghamton) have been by two or less points.
