NEWARK VALLEY — Newark Valley is the eighth-seed in the upcoming Section IV girls soccer playoffs, and will play at home in the opening round, while the Cardinal boys are the ninth seed and will open on the road.

Newark Valley (8-4) hosts Delhi (9-6) in the opening round of the Class C playoffs Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. The winner travels to take on top-seeded Notre Dame (10-2) Friday.

Trumansburg (9-2-1), Oxford (11-3), and Groton (10-3-1) are the second, third and fourth seeds, respectively, and Tioga (9-4-1) is the seventh seed.

Newark Valley (5-6-1) will travel to Newfield (6-6) for an opening-round game in the Class C playoffs Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. The winner will travel to Trumansburg Saturday to take on top-seeded Trumansburg (8-3).

Southern Cayuga (10-1-2), Marathon (11-2-1) and Seton Catholic (6-6-1) are the second, third, and fourth seeds, respectively.
