TIOGA COUNTY — SVEC, at home, and Owego, on the road, are both in action Friday night against divisional football foes.
FOOTBALL
Oxford (1-4 overall, 1-1 Div. VI) at SVEC (2-4, 1-1), 7 p.m.: The Eagles are coming off a 42-8 loss to Delhi, while the Blackhawks topped Harpursville-Afton, 38-30.
SVEC has been outscored by its opponents 28.7 to 19.3, while Oxford has been outscored 40.6 to 10 points per game.
With a win, the Eagles would be in a position to clinch a postseason berth next week at Walton.
Owego (5-0, 2-0 Div. III) at Chenango Valley (3-3, 1-1), 7 p.m.: The River Hawks are coming off a 55-20 win over Section III Westhill, while the Warriors dropped a 35-7 decision to Chenango Forks.
Owego has outscored its opponents 42.6 to 9.2 this season, while CV has been outscored 27.7 to 14.2 points per game.
