OWEGO — Unbeaten Owego cruised past Norwich in a sweep here Thursday night in STAC volleyball action.

The River Hawks, now 14-0, registered their eighth sweep of the season, beating the Purple Tornadoes by scores of 25-11, 25-14, and 25-11.

Lexi Herceg led Owego with 17 setter assists, and eight service aces, while Logan Georgia had eight kills, two blocks, and three aces, and Sofia Silvanic had three aces and five digs.

Lexi Gunther and Michaela Terry, who had one block, registered three kills apiece in the win, while Shannon Maslin recorded five digs, and Ellie McLaren added two aces.

Owego returns to action Saturday at the Patti Perone Classic in Horseheads, then closes out the regular season Tuesday against Waverly at Tioga High School.
