STAC VOLLEYBALL: UNBEATEN OWEGO PULLS OUT 3-1 WIN OVER WINDSOR IN BATTLE OF DIVISION LEADERS (2024-10-15)

WINDSOR — Unbeaten Owego pulled out a 3-1 win over Windsor in a battle of division leaders here Tuesday night in STAC volleyball action.

The River Hawks at 13-0 overall, and 12-0 in league play have clinched the Central Division title, while the Black Knights at 10-3 overall and 10-2 in league play, lead Oneonta (9-3, 9-3) by one game with two games to play.

Owego won the first set 25-17, but Windsor answered with a 25-22 win. The River Hawks closed out the match with wins of 26-24 and 25-22.

Maggie Hamed led Owego with 19 kills, seven digs, and two aces, while Lexi Herceg recorded 36 setter assists, and Shannon Maslin had 15 digs and two aces.

Logan Georgia registered eight kills and three blocks for the River Hawks, while Kayla Newman had seven kills, Michaela Terry had two aces and five blocks, Sofia Silvanic recorded six digs, and Evelyn Howe added four blocks.

Owego returns to action Thursday when it hosts Norwich.
