NEWARK VALLEY — The Newark Valley field hockey team was edged by Sidney on Tuesday, 3-2.

Kayden Rockwell and Maddie Mele had goals for Newark Valley in the game and Kendall Mathewson had an assist.

Newark Valley had four shots and six penalty corners and Sidney had six shots and three penalty corners.

Grace Guiles had three saves in goal for Newark Valley and Sidney had two saves.
