NEWARK VALLEY — After a scoreless first quarter, Greene pumped in three goals in the second quarter on its way to a 5-0 win over Newark Valley here Thursday afternoon in Section IV field hockey action.

The Trojans added a goal in the third and fourth quarters to seal the win.

Nadia Brown had one goal and two assists, and Mia Yahner scored one goal and had one assist to lead Green, while Josie Dutcher and Ella Gaylor each added one goal.

Greene had a 27-1 advantage in shots-on-goal and a 12-1 edge in corner kicks.

Grace Guiles recorded 21 saves in net for the Cardinals.

Newark Valley returns to action Tuesday when it hosts Sidney, then closes out the regular season Wednesday with a home game against Deposit-Hancock.
