IAC CROSS COUNTRY: CANDOR, SVE GIRLS GO 1-2 IN IAC SMALL-SCHOOL MEET (2024-10-09)

MARATHON — The Candor girls brought home the team title for the IAC small-school championships, while Spener Van-Etten was second.

Candor won at 29 points followed by SVE at 40 points.

Emma Haynes of Candor was third in 22:10.7 followed by Kristin Baker in 22:37.7.

SVE’s Madelyn Ellison was seventh in 25:03.7 and Candor’s Zoey Lang was ninth in 25:45.1.

SVE’s Kaylee-May Davidson was 14th in 26:55.7 followed by Candor’s Ayasha Schweiger (27:07.3) and SVE’s Katelynn Jayne (27:57.9) and Lilie Stevens (28:03.1).

SVE’s Ashley Ellison was 19th in 28:22 followed by teammate Brooke Ryan (28:03.1).

Candor’s Calli Marsh was 22nd in 29:16.1. Candor’s Bella Matisco was 26th in 30:34.2 followed by teammate Emma Fey in 30:54.1.

For the boys SVE was fifth as a team with 100 points. Southern Cayuga won at 36 points.

SVE’s Edward Rixford was fourth in 18:38.9 and Candor’s Gage Maxwell was 17th in 20:58.2.

SVE’s Zachary Paucke was 25th in 22:43 and teammate Lincoln Jones was 27th in 23:09.5.

Candor’s James Kane was 29th in 23:21.7 and SVE’s Kenric Beach was 35th in 25:01.5 followed by Jayden Stone in 25:06.

SVE’s William Horyczun was 39th in 26:04.1 and teammate Kaiden Shock was 46th in 28:46 followed by teammate Anthony Wintermute in 29:46.8. SVE’s Kevin Vandrpoel was 51st in 37:07.

For modified boys Candor’s Ethan Eiklor won in 9:25.2. SVE was second as a team with 30 points. Groton won at 25.

Candor’s Declan Shaw was third in 9:54.3 and teammate Orion Haltom was seventh in 10:14, while Kellen Williamson of Candor was fourth at 10:43.5 followed by SVE’s Caleb Paucke at 11:03.6.

SVE’s Tristan Jennings was 12th in 11:26.2 and teammate Brady Ryan was 17th in 12:26.4. SVE’s Levi Koch was 19th in 13:52.1 and Casady Blankenship was was 20th in 13:56.8 while Damon Tubbs of SVE was 22nd at 14:55.4.

For the girls Candor’s Vesper Weisz was fourth in 10:34.7 and teammate Bianca Lopez was 12th in 12:091. SVE’s Lillie Horyczun was 18th in 13:21.3. Ellie Lower of Candor was 21st in 14:53.6. SVE’s Mackenzie Rose was 25th in 16:31.2.
