STAC GIRLS SOCCER: FOUR DIFFERENT PLAYERS FIND NET IN OWEGO'S 4-0 WIN OVER SETON CATHOLIC (2024-10-04)

Tioga County Sports Report
OWEGO — Owego had four different players score goals in a 4-0 win over Seton Catholic here Friday night in STAC Central Division girls soccer action.

The girls played awesome tonight and it was a great game to honor our eight seniors,” said Owego coach Laurel Evans.

“We were utilizing our outside-mids a lot more this game and switched the ball way more than we have so far this season,” she noted. “The mids were finding the space down the line and able to get some great crosses in.

“Everyone played great tonight,” added Evans. “It was just one of those games … the energy was there and the excitement, and they all played a really great game.”

Kira Coppage, off a feed from Liz Reigle, scored early in the game to give the River Hawks a 1-0 lead, and that’s where it stood at the half.

Ashlyn Dalton, Reigle, off an assist from Cadia Fain, and Leah Clark, off a feed from Coppage, scored goals early in the second half to extend the lead to 4-0.

Owego had a 30-1 advantage in shots-on-goal, and an 8-0 edge in corner kicks.

Owego, now 5-5, hosts Maine-Endwell Tuesday night.
