IAC BOYS SOCCER: NEWARK VALLEY EDGES NEWFIELD, 4-3 (2024-10-04)

NEWARK VALLEY — Despite a big advantage in shots-on-goal, Newark Valley edged Newfield, 4-3 here Friday evening in IAC South boys soccer action.

The Cardinals had a 20-10 edge in shots, and a 9-4 edge in corner kicks.

Elijah Williams scored two goals for Newark Valley, while T.J. VanKnapen, and Brandon Enyon each scored one goal.

Bela Krenner and Vince Finta each had one assist for the Cardinals.

James Wales recorded seven saves in net for Newark Valley.

Newark Valley returns to action Wednesday at O-M.
