SPENCER — Dallas Bohling and Hayden Gehres led a relentless SVEC offensive attack in a 7-0 win over Newark Valley here Friday afternoon in Section IV field hockey action.

The Eagles scored two goals in the first quarter, and added one goal in the second and third periods to take a 4-0 lead into the final stanza.

Bohling had two goals and one assist, and Gehres scored two goals to pace the Eagles’ attack, while Megan Williamson head one goal and two assists, and Kendall Gentile and Lily Kunzman each scored one goal.

Aubrey Cataldon and Claire Rollins each had one assist for the Eagels.

SVEC had a 20-3 advantage in shots-on-goal, and a 3-1 edge in penalty corners.

Grace Guiles recorded 13 saves in the cage for the Cardinals, while Kaylee Kastenhuber had three saves for the Eagles.

SVEC returns to action Tuesday at Marathon, while Newark Valley travels to Moravia.
