IAC VOLLEYBALL: S-VE SWEEPS PAST MORAVIA (2024-10-01)

MORAVIA — S-VE pulled out a hard-fought win in the first set, then rolled to a sweep of Moravia here Tuesday night in IAC Small School Division crossover volleyball action.

The Panthers won by scores of 25-23, 25-10, and 25-6.

Lauren Gillette led S-V with 16 service points, including four aces, five kills, and one block, while Makana Diboun had 11 points, including a team-high six aces, and 10 digs, and Lilyanah Doolittle had nine points (four aces), nine kills, two blocks, and two digs.

Andy Wallace had nine points (two aces) and three digs in the win, while Faith Brenchley had three points, five kills, 15 setter assists, and four digs, Kelsea Swayze added seven points, Amani Diboun recorded two kills and two digs, and Hannah Smith chipped in with two kills.

S-VE, now 6-1, returns to action Thursday when it hosts Newfield.

JV: S-VE swept the junior varsity match by scores of 25-10 and 25-22.

Reece Hickey led S-VE with nine points, including four aces, and three kills, while Maddy Ashby had eight points, including six aces, two kills, three assists, and three digs, and Jayde Bailey had six points (two aces) and two digs.

Elaina Middlebrook had five points (three aces) in the win, while Trinity Dashler had three points and three kills, and Devorah Lau chipped in with two digs.
