STAC VOLLEYBALL: OWEGO REMAINS UNBEATEN WITH WIN AT SUS. VALLEY (2024-10-01)
Tioga County Sports ReportOWEGO — After dropping the third set, Owego answered with a convincing win in the fourth set of a 3-1 win over Susquehanna to remain unbeaten here Tuesday night in STAC volleyball action.
The River Hawks won the first two sets 25-21 and 25-15, but the Sabers extended the match with a 28-26 win in the third set. Owego closed out the match with a 25-11 victory in the fourth set.
Lexi Herceg led Owego with 38 setter assists, while Maggie Hamed had 16 kills, five service aces and six digs, and Logan Georgia registered seven kills and three blocks.
Shannon Maslin had 16 digs and four aces in the win, while Sofia Silvanic recorded seven digs, and Michaela Terry chipped in with two blocks.
Owego, now 8-0, returns to action Thursday at Chenango Valley.
