Tioga County Sports ReportELMIRA HEIGHTS — The Newark Valley volleyball team fought back to force a fifth set, but fell to Thomas Edison 25-22, 22-25, 15-25, 25-20, 9-15 on Wednesday night.
Rosie Wandell had 12 digs, 12 assists and two aces for Newark Valley and Laura Ludwig had nine kills, three aces, three digs and a block.
Jenna Vosburgh had nine digs, four kills and three aces and Haven Aylesworth had 13 digs, five assists, two blocks, two kills and an ace.
Adriana Rich had five kills, two assists, three blocks, a dig and an ace, while Anaya Aylesworth had 10 digs, four kills and an ace.
Maddy Noble had 10 digs, a kill and an assist and HattieSue Hines had six digs.
Kailey Ripley had 19 assists, six digs, two aces and two kills, while Charlee Stroman had 14 digs, 12 kills and an ace.
Maycie Bennett had nine digs, five kills and two aces and Carissa Cowan had three digs. Mali Huffner had 10 digs, a block and two kills and Lillian Cowulich had two digs.
Makayla Graham had a dig and an ace and Isabelle Guarnieri had 10 digs and two kills and Lulu Albertalli had six kills, seven aces and two digs.
Edison won the JV match 25-3, 25-19, 25-14.
