OWEGO — Four different players scored goals as Owego remained unbeaten with a 4-0 win over Chenango Valley here Friday evening in STAC Central Division boys soccer action.

“Tonight was a really great way to conclude a great week,” said Owego coach Alessio de Michele, whose River Hawks beat Norwich and Chenango Forks earlier in the week.

“I think this was our most complete performance as a team from first to last minute against a lot of good players,” he noted. “We enjoyed our night on a beautiful field and created a lot of great goal-scoring chances. We were able to navigate difficult moments much better as well.

“It’s always a fantastic feeling as a coach when goals get spread around to multiple players,” added de Michele. “This is the halfway point in regular season, and we know there is another level we have to get through.”

Vasil Brich, Matt Higgins, and Zyir Van Scoy each scored one goal, and doled out one assist, while Hunter Slater scored one goal, and Ryan Barnes added an assist.

Owego, now 8-0, hosts Oneonta Monday night.
