IAC VOLLEYBALL: NEWARK VALLEY SWEEPS DRYDEN (2024-09-26)

NEWARK VALLEY — Newark Valley fought off an early challenge from Dryden, and cruised to a sweep here Thursday night in IAC Large School Division crossover volleyball action.

The Cardinals won by scores of 25-18, 25-13, and 25-15.

Rosie Wandell led Newark Valley with 10 aces, five setter assists, and five digs, while Adriana Rich registered eight kills, three blocks, and two digs, Anaya Aylesworth had four kills, one block, and eight digs, and Laura Ludwig had three aces, three assists, and two kills.

Maddy Noble had nine digs in the win, while Haven Aylesworth recorded two kills, two blocks, and three digs, Jenna Vosburgh added three aces, and HattieSue Havens chipped in with two digs.

JV: Newark Valley swept the junior varsity match by scores of 25-19 and 25-19, while Dryden won the exhibition third set, 25-13.

Newark Valley returns to action Tuesday at Elmira.
