TIOGA COUNTY — SVEC hosts resurgent Bainbridge-Guilford, and Owego opens Division III play at home against Norwich in Week 2 of the football season.

FOOTBALL
B-G (2-0) at SVEC (1-1), 7 p.m.: The Eagles are coming off a 35-22 win at Dryden, while the Bobcats beat Walton, 34-14

B-G has outscored its opponents 62-34 in its two wins, while S-VE has been outscored 60-50.

Norwich (1-1) at Owego (1-0), 7 p.m.: The Rivers are coming off a season-opening 34-0 win over U-E, while the Purple Tornado was pounded by Horseheads, 42-7.

Norwich opened the season with a 56-0 win over Cortland.

GIRLS SOCCER
Lansing (4-1) at SVEC (2-2), 4:30 p.m.: The Eagles are coming off a 5-1 loss to Notre Dame Wednesday, while the Bobcats are coming off a 7-0 win over Dryden — their fourth win in a row.

VOLLEYBALL
Newark Valley (1-2) at Whitney Point, 5 p.m. JV start: The Cardinals are coming off a 3-0 loss to Lansing Wednesday.

S-VE (4-0) at Horseheads, 5:30 p.m. JV start: The Panthers are coming off a sweep of O-M, while the Blue Raiders dropped a 3-1 decision to Corning.

FIELD HOCKEY
Owego (2-4) at Tioga (0-5), 4:30 p.m.: The Tigers are coming off a 9-0 loss to Windsor Saturday, while the River Hawks lost 6-0 to Windsor Wednesday.

SVEC (1-5) at Sidney (0-4), 4:30 p.m.: The Panthers are coming off a 3-0 loss to Greene Tuesday, while while the Warriors dropped a 4-1 decision at Walton.
