IAC VOLLEYBALL: CANDOR RALLIES FOR FIVE-SET VICTORY OVER TRUMANSBURG (24 PHOTOS) (2024-09-19)
Tioga County Sports ReportCANDOR — The Candor volleyball team rallied for a five-set win over Trumansburg on Thursday night.
After dropping the first set 25-22, Candor won the next 25-10. Trumansburg won a long set 30-28 in the third, before Candor finished things out 25-20, and 15-10.
Kate Stouffer had 14 points, an ace, four kills and nine digs for Candor and Phoebe Swartz had 12 points, three aces, four kills, 17 assists, one block assist and six digs.
Malley Heidl had six points, three aces, three kills, five assists and five digs and Ryleigh Bowman had two digs.
Emmi McCracken had a kill and a block assist and Nicola Soper had three points, an ace, 16 kills, a block assist and seven digs.
Leilani Lane had a point and an ace and Hazel Ray had two points and an assist.
Kiera Austin had three points and Emmi Make had 16 points, six aces, 13 kills, a block assist and five digs.
Tracy Reynolds had four points, two aces and Jill Teribury had 10 points, an ace and a dig.
JV: Candor fell in the junior varsity match 25-17, 15-25, 23-25.
Lizzy Murray had nine points, three aces, two kills and two assists for Candor’s JV and Val Polanco-Gil had six points, three aces and two kills.
Montana Vorhis had three assists and Nora Young had five kills.
Allison Oakes had a block and Ashlan Heidl had five assists and a block assists. Zoe Travis had a kill and a block assist and Ava Anderson had six points and three aces.
