NEWARK VALLEY — After a scoreless first quarter, Walton scored four goals in the second quarter on its way to a 6-0 win over Newark Valley here Thursday afternoon in Section IV field hockey action.

The Warriors added two goals in the third quarter to provide the final margin.

Chasidy Constable scored two goals, and Addie Trimbell dished out two assists to lead Walton.

Lori Scofield, Kylie Wood, Layne VanValkenberg, and Brynlee Hunt each scored one goal in the win.

Walton outshot Newark Valley, 11-5, and had a 9-2 advantage in penalty corners.

Grace Guiles recorded 11 saves in the cage for the Cardinals, and Mackenzie Roach had four saves for Walton.

Newark Valley, now 1-5, returns to action Monday at Owego.
