SECTION 4 FIELD HOCKEY: SVEC FALLS ON THE ROAD AT GREENE (2024-09-17)

GREENE — The SVEC field hockey team went on the road falling to Greene 3-0 on Tuesday afternoon.

Greene scored goals in each of the first three quarters.

Nadia Brown scored at 15:50 and at 11:54 of the second quarter, off an assist from Josie Dutcher. Madison Wise scored at 4:12 of the third quarter off an assist from Claire Flanagan.

Kily Kunzman had seven saves in goal for SVEC.

“We started slow and got behind, but never gave up,” SVEC coach Abby Gentile said. “During the second half, we played much stronger and put on plenty of offensive pressure.”

SVEC had four shots and five penalty corners.

Greene had 12 shots in the game and three penalty corners.

The second half was just a 1-0 game. SVEC had a 2-1 edge in penalty corners in the second half, after SVEC had three second-quarter penalty corners.
