CANDOR — Candor started fast, and cruised to a sweep of Newfield here Monday night in IAC South Small School Division volleyball action.

The Coyotes, now 3-0, won by scores of 25-11, 25-13, and 25-20.

Phoebe Swartz led Candor with 16 service points, including three aces, 26 setter assists, three kills, and two digs, while Kate Stouffer had 10 points (three aces), four kills, two blocks, and four digs, and Malley Heidl had seven points (two aces), two kills, two assists, and two digs.

Nicola Soper had four points (two aces), a team-high 12 kills, one block, and three digs, while Emmi Makie had five points (two aces), nine kills, and two blocks, and
Kiera Austin added seven points.

Tracy Reynolds and five points and three digs for the Coyotes, while Keanna Fay had five points, Emmi McCracken registered three kills, Jill Teribury recorded five digs, and Ava Fernando chipped in with one block.

JV: Candor swept the JV match by scores of 25-7 and 25-15.

Ashlen Heidl led Candor with 15 points, including five aces, and three assists, while Montana Vortis had eight points (four aces), Zoe Travis had seven points (two aces), Lizzy Murray recorded four kills, Nora Young added three points (two aces) and two kills, and Ava Anderson chipped in with two kills.

Candor returns to action Wednesday when it hosts Trumansburg.
