TIOGA COUNTY SPORTS REPORT: SVEC'S AMAN, LYON NAMED GUTHRIE COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION 'ATHLETES OF THE WEEK' (2024-09-15)

TIOGA COUNTY — SVEC junior Logan Aman led the Eagles to their first win on the gridiron this season, and SVEC freshman Allie Lyon was a major cog in two wins. They are the Tioga County Sports Report / Guthrie Community Credit Union “Athletes of the Week,” for the week ending Sept. 14.

SVEC’s AMAN NAMED GUTHRIE COMMUNITY CREDIT BANK BOYS “ATHLETE OF THE WEEK”
Logan Aman scored four TDs in SVEC’s 34-22 win over Dryden Friday night.

Aman rushed for 154 yards and four TDs on 13 carries. He scored on runs of 6, 28, 25, and 2 yards.

Aman also had 11 receiving yards, and 41 return yards.

Honorable Mentions: SVEC’s Class Huenecke (soccer) Owego’s Joseph Palladino (football), SVEC’s Noah Banks (soccer), Newark Valley’s Logan Rhodes (football), and Owego’s Jacob Bensley (golf).

SVEC’s LYON NAMED GUTHRIE COMMUNITY CREDIT BANK GIRLS “ATHLETE OF THE WEEK”
Lyon scored six goals and dished out four assists to help SVEC to a 2-1 week.

Lyon had one goal and one assist in SVEC’s season-opening, 2-0, win over O-M Monday. On Wednesday, she had five goals and two assists in a 13-0 win over Edison.

Lyon also had an assist in SVEC’s 5-1 loss to Watkins Glen Friday.
