ATHENS — The annual Waverly boys’ basketball camp was held at Athens this year due to a renovation project at the Waverly gyms, but the turnout was still impressive — 217 players participating in four age groups.

Candor’s Lincoln Thomas was among the award winners, earning a 3-point shooting honor in Division II, and was also named to the all-star team.

In the NBA, the oldest age group, Hogan Shaw of Waverly was the foul shooting champion. Keagan Zeller of Horseheads, Michael Griffin of Sayre, Carter Bleiler of Sayre and Moe Zinger of Odessa-Montour were the three-on-three champions.

Pryor Teribury of Troy and Mac Burgert of NEB were the three-point champions and Spencer Martin of Troy was the hot shot champion.

Xavier Watson of Waverly was the one-on-one champion and Chase Wheeler of Waverly won the hustler award.

Zeller was the most improved.

The 1/2-camp scholarship went to Ransom Shultz of Wellsboro.

Hudston Trump of Sayre, Zeller, Shaw, Watkins, Martin and Ben Shaw of Waverly were the all-stars and Ben Fitch of Canton was the MVP.

Kolson Keathley of Waverly and Peter Jones of Athens were on the camp defensive team.

The team champs for the NBA were the Knicks team of Ben Shaw, Thomas White of Horseheads, Zeller, Fitch, Declan Barry of Sayre, Dominic Robbins of Athens, Preston Harmer of Horseheads and Caleb Malonske of Odessa-Montour.

In the youngest age group, D3, Logan Swartwood of Big Flats was the foul shooting champion and Tommy Thompson of Canton, Chase Faucet of Athens and Hudson Gardener of Athens were the three-on-three champs.

Sawyer Tremaine of Big Flats was the hot shot champ and Swartwood was the one-on-one champion and the knock out champion.

Wyatt Raupers of Athens won the hustler award and Austin Biggs of Athens was most improved, while Will Schoonover of Canton won the 1/2-camp scholarship.

Eli Leavenworth of Athens, Westley Burgert of NEB, Calvin Mosher of Athens, Wyatt Raupers of Athens and Tremaine were all-stars and Swartwood was MVP.

Jase Sheeley of Troy and Owen Riley of Finn Academy were on the camp defensive team and Silias Martin of Troy was the best camper.

The team champs of Union were Swartwood, Weston Driscoll, Brennan Scott, Sheeley, Aiden Thompson, Leavenworth, Owen Riley, Branson Meyers and Brody Payne of Waverly.

The Division II award winners included Gavin Harmer of Horseheads, who was the foul shooting champion and Leon Fourie of Waverly, Ace Johnston of Athens and Alexander Radzivachovich of Sunny Hills, Florida, who were the three-on-three champs.

Drew Croft of Waverly and Thomas were the three-point champions and Colton McCauley of Elmira was hot shot champ, while Croft was the one-on-one champ.

The hustler award winner was Braylen Burchard of Horseheads, while James Cole of Waverly was most improved and Maddox Correll of Mansfield won the 1/2-camp scholarship.

JT Morrell of Elmira, Ryan Hicks of Athens, Harmer, Johnston, Thomas and Dempsey Stevens of Towanda were the all-stars and Croft was MVP.

McCauley and EJ Gliemi of Athens were on the camp defensive team, while Ryder Chamberlain of Waverly was the Al Geppert Award winner.

The team champs of Bentley University were Croft and NEB’s Jacob Gruss and Nolan Ferguson and Waverly’s Carsen Hunt, Fourie and James Cole, Harmer and Troy’s Michael Belawski.

The Division 1 foul shooting champion was Owen Millspaugh of Towanda and the three-on-three champs were Griffin Mocal of Wellsboro, Dom Merroti of Sullivan County, Mitchel Geform of Wyalusing and Darris Harrison of Elmira.

Luke VanLoom of Mansfield and Merritt were the three-point champs, while Keegan Johnston of Evan Grove was the hot shot champ and Evan Allen of Troy was one-on-one champ.

Greasy Vaow of Wyalusing was the hustler award winner and Jayden Morningstar of Sayre was most improved, while Tyrese Gamby of Sayre was the 1/2-camp scholarship winner.

The all-stars were Landon Cole of Tory, Sam Cheresnowsky of Waverly, Keegan Stroud of Towanda, Aiden Briggs of Athens, Michael Sutryk of Notre Dame and Braiden Judson of Waverly. Clay Wilkes of NEB was the MVP.

Morgan Kone of Notre Dame and Brock Carr of Notre Dame were on the camp defensive team.

The D1 team champs were the Duke team of Tucker Huffman of Troy, Michael Sutryk of Notre Dame, Jayden Morningstar of Sayre, Boom Thompson of Towanda, Cameron Riley of Elmira, Clay Wilks of NEB, Magnus Wakely of Athens, Isaiah Watson-Adoo of Wyalusing, Caden Vaneerpole of Athens, and Gage Tinna of Wyalusing.
