APALACHIN — Carsten Crawford twirled a perfect game as Eyota Nation - Crawford defeated CNY Express, 12-0, in three innings at the Eyota Nation 16U Softball Tournament at Muth Park Saturday.
Crawford struck out seven of the nine batters she faced and CNY did not get a ball out of the infield.
Eyota cranked out eight runs in the bottom of the first and never looked back.
Hannah Carpenter and Ruby Kocsis smacked RBI doubles to highlight a six-hit inning.
Consecutive singles made it 9-0 in the second.
Eyota scored three runs without a hit in the third, taking advantage of three walks and three hit batters.
Crawford supported her effort in the circle with a 2-for-2 performance at the plate, scoring two runs and driving in another. Carpenter was also 2-for-2, with a run and two RBI.
Ally Jennings chipped in with a hit, two runs and two RBI; Lexsie Douglas, Aubrey Salati and Ellie Hamilton-Jones contributed a hit, run and RBI apiece; Kylie Grippen scored a pair of runs; Kocsis added hit and an RBI; Savannah Finan and Annie Davis added one hit apiece; and Lilia Pratt drove in a run.

Eyota struggled to get its bats going, managing just two hits.
Crawford singled in the top of the fourth and would score two batters later on a double by Davis.
RBI scored two in the first, doubled its lead in the third, and put the game away with a five-run fourth.
