TIOGA COUNTY — Two track & field standouts have been selected the Tioga County Sports Report / S.E.E.D. “Athletes of the Week” for May 27 through June 1.

Female Athlete of the Week: Stella Palladino, Owego
The sophomore sprinter won 100- and 200-meter dashes at the Section IV Track & Field championships. She recorded personal best times in both events, running the 100 in 12.75 seconds and the 200 in 25.94 seconds in the 200. She also ran the anchor leg of the 4x400 relay, which set a season best 4:35.05.

Honorable Mention: Lindsey Morse, Candor track & field; Kirsten Garrison, S-VE track & field; Olivia Webb, Newark Valley track & field; Owego flag football team.

Male Athlete of the Week: Dan Truesdail, Newark Valley
The senior thrower placed third in the discus and sixth in the shot put at the Section IV Track & Field championships. He launched the discus 140 feet, four inches and heaved the shot 43-5 3/4.

Honorable Mention: Caleb Hoover, Owego track & field; Jaeden King, Owego track & field; John Garrison, S-VE track & field; Karson Kenville, S-VE track & field.
