SUMMER YOUTH SPORTS COVERAGE TO BEGIN SOON (2024-06-02)

TIOGA COUNTY — The high school varsity athletic season will be ending June 9 and coverage of summer youth sports will begin the following week.

Tioga County Sports Report will be offering coverage of summer sports involving youth from within the Candor, Newark Valley, Owego and Spencer-Van Etten school districts. The team does not have to be based in those areas as long as one or more of its athletes is a resident.

Results can be submitted by the head coach or a designated individual through text (to include scorebook photos) to 570-867-2767 or email to timtaylor2661@gmail.com. TCSR will not accept results submitted through its Facebook or X (twitter) pages, or by parents, grandparents, etc. unless they have been designated to do so by team management.

If you have a team which posts results to a website (i.e. gamechanger) you must ensure Tim Taylor is granted access to your team page so that he may retrieve results.

For youths competing in individual sports, such as golf, please inform TCSR of the individual’s name and schedule of events.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Coverage from July 4-7 and Aug. 10-17 will be limited due to previously scheduled plans during those time frames.

PHOTOS: TCSR will publish photos submitted by parents, spectators, etc. if they are of high quality. Please remember that photos which you may feel are good enough for the family photo album, but might not meet TCSR’s standards. No offense intended, but this occurs frequently with cell phone photos.
