HS TRACK & FIELD: PALLADINO WINS HIGHLIGHT OWEGO EFFORT AT PARKHURST (2024-05-12)

ENDICOTT — Owego’s Stella Palladino sprinted to a pair of individual titles at the Parkhurst Track & Field Invitational Saturday.
Palladino recorded a time of 12.94 seconds in the 100-meter dash and 27.11 seconds in the 200, leading the River Hawks to a fourth-place finish in the 17-team event.
Jaelyn Chrysler took second in the 1500 with a time of 4:59.03 and fourth in the 800 in 2:32.36.
Owego received a pair of third-place efforts from Lilly LaFever in the 2,000 steeplechase with a 8:48.85 and Taylor Dalton in the long jump with a distance of 15-2.
Also placing among the top five was the 4x400 relay, which clocked 4:42.08 to claim fifth.
The boys team tied for ninth.
Javan Belokur took third in the 3200 with a time of 11:14.9 while Caleb Hoover was also third, heaving the discus 126-1.
Taking fourth were Jaeden King in the 200 in 24.14 seconds, Cadon Wasielewski in the 3,000 steeplechase in 12:08.17 and Sam Cunningham in the pole vault with a height of 10-6.
Owego competes in the STAC championships Wednesday at Johnson City.
