SECTION IV FLAG FOOTBALL: OWEGO COMPLETES UNBEATEN REGULAR SEASON (2024-05-09)

WINDSOR — The Owego flag football team completed an unbeaten regular season (12-0) and claimed the Section IV Flag Football Conference Division II regular season title with a 35-6 victory over Windsor Thursday.

The River Hawks flaunted their ground-pounding specialist, Cadia Fain, who carried the pigskin 11 times for 68 yards and three touchdowns.

Quarterback Kylie Grippen completed 16 of 22 passes for 212 yards and two TDs, and a rare interception.

Alex Aubel had nine receptions for 86 yards and one TD, and Lexi Herceg made catches for 84 yards and one TD.

Bella Silvestri made six tackles while Olivia Dodge and Brooklyn Gaurnier contributed five apiece.

The playoffs begin Wednesday.
