TIOGA COUNTY — A pair of distance running standouts share the spotlight as Owego’s Jaelyn Chrysler and Spencer-Van Etten’s John Garrison have been selected the
Tioga County Sports Report / S.E.E.D. “Athletes of the Week” for April 22-27.
Female Athlete of the Week: Jaelyn Chrysler, Owego
The sophomore distance standout won six events last week. In a victory over Seton Catholic, she captured the 800- and 1500-meter races, and ran legs of the victorious 4x400 and 4x800 relays. At the Gerry O'Donnell Track & Field Invitational, she dominated the 1500 and 3,000.

Male Athlete of the Week: John Garrison, S-VE
A distance specialist, the senior was a triple winner in the Panthers' 3-point loss to Newfield. He established season-best times in the 1600 (4:28) and 3200 (10:05), and anchored the winning 4x800 relay. He was also the runner-up in the 400.
