Tioga County Sports Report
OWEGO — The Owego baseball team overcame a shaky start to rally past Windsor, 3-1, in STAC action Thursday, improving to 2-0 in the process.

The River Hawks scored all their runs in the bottom of the third inning. Jack Buchsbaum got the comeback going as he beat out an infield single, then Ben Rollison and Conlan Taylor drew bases on balls. Evan English knotted the score with a base hit, then Elijah Lewis pushed Owego in front with a two-run single.

Lewis scattered three hits over five innings, striking out five and walking two. Connor Kotski fanned four batters in two innings of relief to pick up the save. He allowed one hit and one walk.

Lewis also went 1-for-2 at the plate with two RBI and a walk, as well as three stolen bases, which gives him six thefts on the young season.

English went 2-for-3 with an RBI, Buchsbaum was 1-for-2 with a run, Zach Beyer was 1-for-1 with a walk, Rollison was 1-for-2 with a run and a walk, Taylor added a run and a walk, and Kotski and Parker Jenkins added one walk each.
