HS BASKETBALL: NEWARK VALLEY, OWEGO DUOS PLAYING IN STARS AND STRIPES CLASSIC (2023-03-19)

ENDICOTT — Newark Valley’s Aubrey Kwiatkowski and Liv Short, and Owego’s Madison McEvoy and Riley Loomis have been selected by the Southern Tier Board 49 Officials to represent the River Hawks in the 2024 Stars and Stripes Classic.

The quartet among 91 players from 20 schools who will compete in two four-team tournaments.

Loomis takes the court this evening (March 19) at 6 p.m. with the championship and consolation games being held Thursday. Madison

McEvoy, Kwiatkowski and Short will team up to play at 7:30 pm on Wednesday with the championship and consolation games being held Friday, March 22nd.

All games will be held at Union-Endicott High School. There is a $3 cash admission at the door. All school-aged kids are free.

The tournament is sponsored by Southern Tier Board 49 Basketball Officials to highlight some of the top talent in the area. More than 50 NCAA coaches have been invited to attend.
