SECTION IV GIRLS BOWLING: CANDOR’S FLOYD LEADS LOCAL LADIES AT CLASS TOURNAMENTS (2024-02-18)

Tioga County Sports Report
VESTAL — Candor’s Kaitlyn Floyd led Tioga County competitors at the Section IV Class C Girls Bowling Championships at Midway Lanes.

The county contingent of Waverly, Candor, Newark Valley and Tioga claimed fourth through seventh place, respectively, while Owego took sixth in Class B.

CLASS C
The Wolverines scored 867-2457 to lead the county teams while the Coyotes registered the high game among the group, an 867. They posted a 2373 series.

NV registered an 810-2286 and Tioga had a 769-2248.

Oxford/Greene won the team title with a 922-2732, Windsor was second at 911-2509 and Union Springs/Port Byron claimed third with an 834-2472.

Candor
Kaitlyn Floyd captured runner-up honors in Class C with a 628 series. After opening with a 193 followed by a 189, she wrapped up her performance with a 246. Floyd placed fourth overall among the four class tournaments.

Calli Marsh pitched in with a 201-490, Makenna Nixon scored a 169-421, Kristin Baker had a 147-419 and Jennarose Reagan added a 160-415.

Newark Valley
Madison Davis rolled the team’s high series, a 511, which was highlighted by games of 193 and 190. Rachel Hartman capped her day with a 202 game and finished with a 499 series.

Alexandra Rosengrant recorded a 184-497, Alyssa Brown added a 161-444 and Emily Bird tacked on a 123-335.

Tioga
Chloe Gillette set the pace for the Tigers with a 200-523 and Allie Creller had a 185-504.

Waverly
Serenity Conklin logged a 215-608 for the Wolverines to place third in the class and sixth overall. Karis Hayes added a 210-565.

CLASS B
Owego scored a 2201 series with a high game of 832.

Haley Stephens and Elaina Anschutz led the River Hawks. Stephens rolled a 492 series which included a 200 game while Anschutz posted the team’s high game, a 214. She finished with a 483 series.

Elizabeth Reigle contributed a 183-454 and Izzy Coveney shot a 150-403. Shannon Maslin contributed a 146 game and Izzy Taylor added a 105 game.
