TIOGA COUNTY — It’s an unusually busy start to the week, which includes IAC championships in cheerleading and basketball, and Section IV class tournaments in bowling.

Following is a list of this week’s activities.

MONDAY
Boys Basketball: Newark Valley travels to Union Springs looking to secure a spot in the postseason and S-VE closes out its season at Watkins Glen.

Cheerleading: Newark Valley hosts the IAC championships.

Girls Basketball: Candor travels to Bainbridge-Guilford while Owego hosts Auburn and S-VE hosts Edison.

TUESDAY
Boys Basketball: Newark Valley hosts Southern Cayuga. Depending on the outcome of Monday’s game, it could be a must-win situation for NV.

Girls Basketball: Owego closes out the regular season at Corning.

WEDNESDAY
Girls Basketball: S-VE hosts Candor in a playoff to see which team advances to the IAC Small School championship game.

THURSDAY
Girls Basketball: Newark Valley seeks its fourth consecutive IAC Large School championship against Trumansburg or Whitney Point at TC3.

FRIDAY
Bowling: Section IV class championships will be held at Midway Lanes in Vestal. No other information has been shared with this media outlet.

Boys Basketball: Candor takes on Moravia for the IAC Small School championship at TC3.

Girls Basketball: The winner of a playoff between Candor and S-VE faces Moravia for the IAC Small School championship at TC3.

SATURDAY
Bowling: Section IV class championships will be held at Midway Lanes in Vestal. No other information has been shared with this media outlet.

Indoor Track & Field: Owego competes in the Section IV Classic at SUNY Cortland.
