STAC BOWLING: OWEGO SPLITS WITH SUS VALLEY (2023-12-06)

OWEGO — Four different Owego boys bowlers rolled 200 games as the River Hawks posted a 5-0 shutout of Susquehanna Valley at Owego Bowl Wednesday.

In the girls match, Owego took the opening game, but Sus Valley rallied to win, 4-1. The River Hawks’ JV boys eked out a 3-2 win.

BOYS
Connor Kotski rolled a near-perfect final game (297) to lead the charge with a 708 series which also included a 221.

Devan Card surpassed 200 three times with a 234, 205 and 201 for a 640 series and Evan O’Hara added a 235 and 203 en route to a 629.

Will Waldron contributed a pair of 200 games, 220 and 214, for a 589 series. Graydon Stanton added a 174-483.

Owego won by scores of 1029-866, 1023-881 and 997-930, claiming the total pinfall, 3049-2677.

John Bohnsell had a 585 series for the Sabers. Leon Labarre added a 233 game, and Coleson Steen and Cazz Bonsell tacked on a 210 and 204, respectively.

GIRLS
Alliysin Basaha shot 234 and 241 in her final two games to finish with a 625 series and help SV avoid a potential upset.

The River Hawks won the opening game, 651-630, but Sus Valley came back to take the next two games, 736-639 and 693-669. The Sabres grabbed the total pinfall, 2059-1959.

Elizabeth Reigle led Owego with a 162-427 and Haley Stephens posted a 163-415.

Izzy Coveney registered a 175-406, Izzy Taylor added a 129-369 and Elaina Anschutz had a 121-342.

JV BOYS
The River Hawks won on the strength of an impressive 708-579 victory in the opening game. That carried them to a 1996-1944 triumph in total pinfall. Vincent Dfulvio led the Sabers with a 191-518.

Sus Valley won the second and third games, 692-631 and 673-657.

Chase Romeo had a 177-454 for the home team, Nate Dwyer added a 151-423, Damien Allen chipped in with a 175-407 and Aaron Klett had a 131-359.

Dominick Curley posted a 160 game and Kaleb Clark added a 119 game.

Vincent Difulvio led the Sabers with a 191-518.

Owego hosts Windsor Monday.
