TIOGA COUNTY — The 30th annual Larry Goodrich Memorial Wrestling Tournament and the 3rd annual Charlie Sibley Memorial Basketball Tournament are the big local athletic events. There are also tournaments in Oneonta and Oxford.

BOYS BASKETBALL
Moravia at Owego, 4 p.m.: The Section IV Class B champion River Hawks and defending Section IV Class C champion Blue Devils square off in the first round of the Sibley tournament. The JV teams play at noon.

GIRLS BASKETBALL
Newark Valley vs. Oneonta/Windsor, TBA: NV will play either the host Yellowjackets or the Black Knights in the consolation game at Oneonta. First round results were not available when this story was published.

Owego vs. Maine-Endwell, 6 p.m.: The River Hawks will meet the Express or Spartans for the Sibley tournament title. The Owego JV team plays M-E for the title at 6 p.m. also.

WRESTLING
SVEC at Oxford, 9 a.m.: The Eagles compete in the final day of the long-running Clyde Cole tournament.

Owego at Newark Valley, 9:45 a.m.: The River Hawks and Cardinals take to the mats in the annual Goodrich tourney.
