TIOGA COUNTY — State championships are being held Saturday in cross country with seven Tioga County athletes competing while two local volleyball teams will be hosting regional matches. Section IV football titles will be decided either Friday or Saturday and three of the championship games involve Tioga County teams.
Digital ticketing is required for all of these events.
From the New York State Public High School Activities Association: Tickets can be purchased by visiting each championship page. Please be aware that a majority of NYSPHSAA events are mobile ticket only and no cash sales are available. If you have questions, check out the FAQs below. If you don't see an answer to your question, contact the NYSPHSAA office at 518-690-0771 or ticketing@nysphsaa.org.
Championship FAQs:
How do I buy tickets to a Sectional or Regional playoff game?
Sectionals and Regionals are managed by the host section. Visit the appropriate section website or contact the section office for event information.
How do I buy tickets to a NYSPHSAA Championship?
Ticket links are provided on each championship page. Events will be ticketed through the GoFan platform unless otherwise mandated through specific venue contracts. If an event is sold through a host venue or contractually obligated ticketing partner besides GoFan, tickets will be available for purchase on site.
How do I show my GoFan mobile ticket? Can I send tickets to family members or friends?
GoFan tickets are interactive and must be shown on a mobile device through the GoFan app or gofan.co mobile website. Screenshots and printed tickets will not be accepted at the gate. If you need to send tickets to family members or friends, you can do so through the GoFan platform. For more information, check out the GoFan Fan Support page.
I want to attend a NYSPHSAA championship but don't have a smartphone. How do I get into the event?
Purchase your online ticket at home, and when you arrive at the event tell an event staff member that you bought a ticket but don't have a smartphone. The site administrator will ask for your email address to verify your purchase and will allow you entry to the event.
The time on my ticket doesn't match the time of my game. Will I be able to get in?
Tickets for NYSPHSAA championship events are valid for the entire day unless otherwise noted. The time listed on the ticket is the first game of the day since that is when the ticket becomes active. Don't worry, you'll be able to attend games later in the day using that ticket.
Are there discounts available for kids, seniors, or veterans?
Kids age 5 and under are admitted free, all others must have a general admission ticket. There are no discounted tickets available.
Tickets used to be $10, did you raise prices?
Ticket prices have not changed, but we are now showing prices differently. In the past, ticket prices were listed as $10 plus fees. Due to the NYS Ticket Transparency law passed last summer, we are now showing the final ticket price inclusive of all fees.
Can I bring bags into NYSPHSAA events?
NYSPHSAA follows the security plans of the host venue. Check the host venue website for more information on policies and procedures for a specific event.
Can I bring my pet?
Sorry, no pets are allowed aside from certified service animals.
