OWEGO — The Owego girls soccer team doubled up Oneonta, 4-2, in STAC action Wednesday to run its record to 10-0.
Erin McDonald put the River Hawks on the scoreboard at 36:53 of the first half with an unassisted goal, but Grace Slesinsky tied it up for the Yellowjackets at 21:10.
The Dalton sisters would put Owego ahead to stay with 8 ½ minutes to play in the first half. Taylor got the goal and Ashlyn picked up the assist.
Cassie Doane would record her second consecutive game-winning goal, blasting in a shot from about 30 yards out at 30:39 of the second half to make it 3-1.
Ashlyn Dalton would tack on a goal at 26:28 to give the Hawks a 4-1 advantage.
Oneonta, ranked 16th in Class B, would score one more goal (no name listed) 21 seconds later.
The Hawks took 14 shots to Oneonta’s eight and held a 3-1 edge in corner kicks.
Olivia Dodge made four saves for Owego and Lilli Rowe had five for the Jackets (7-3-1).
Owego, ranked seventh in Class A, hosts Waverly Friday. The last two games between the pair have ended 1-0 in the Hawks’ favor.
