IAC GIRLS SOCCER: SVEC FALLS TO UNBEATEN WATKINS GLEN (2023-09-23)

CANDOR — SVEC ran into unbeaten Watkins Glen and came out on the short side of a 7-1 verdict in IAC girls soccer action Friday.

Lake Hawks standout Ava Kelly scored four goals as her team improved to 8-0 on the season.

Kelly scored at 12:37 and 14:41 into the first half, and 6:23 and 27:05 of the second.

Kaitlyn Coppage scored the lone goal for the Eagles eight minutes into the second half with Meradyth Stouffer picked up the assist.

Sasha and Skye Honrath, and Madaline Bryerton had the other Watkins goals.

Tacking on assists were Sasha Honrath, Bryerton, Olivia King and Jennifer Gublo.

The Hawks took 37 shots to SVEC’s four.

The Eagles host Whitney Point this morning.
