BINGHAMTON — Owego snapped a scoreless first half with five goals after intermission, including a hat trick by Ashlyn Dalton, to defeat Chenango Forks, 5-1, in STAC girls soccer action Friday.
Dalton scored her first goal unassisted with a little over 26 minutes remaining in the game, then assisted on a Leah Clark goal about two minutes later.
Goals by Dalton at 19 ½ and 16 ½ minutes gave her the hat trick and the River Hawks a 4-0 advantage.
Taylor Dalton got in on the scoring with just under 16 minutes to play.
Katelyn Black scored for Forks with less than 11 minutes on the clock.
Owego outshot the Blue Devils, 31-4, and held a 13-1 advantage in corner kicks.
The Forks goalkeeper had 18 saves while Olivia Dodge made three for the Hawks.
Owego, which has allowed just three goals while sporting an 8-0 record, visits Chenango Valley Monday.
