TIOGA CENTER — McKenzie Williams scored all four goals as Tioga defeated Newark Valley, 4-2, in Section IV field hockey action Friday night.

Williams scored on a pass from Abbie Englebert with 10:44 left in the first quarter, then tallied unassisted in the same period to push the lead to 2-0.

She notched her third goal of the evening near the halfway point of the second quarter to give Tioga a 3-0 lead.

Cecilia Whitney scored with 4:17 remaining in the third quarter to put NV on the scoreboard.

Williams tacked on one more goal in the fourth quarter.

Kayden Rockwell cut the lead to 4-2 with an unassisted goal with 8:41 left in the game.

Tioga grabbed a 13-5 advantage in shots and led in penalty corners, 6-3.

Gracie Guiles made 10 saves for NV and Chloe Gillette had four for the Tigers.

Newark Valley (0-8) hosts defending state champion Vestal Monday.
