TIOGA COUNTY — The busiest week of the fall season to date features eight events in four different sports, including multiple clashes in field hockey, boys soccer and volleyball.

BOYS SOCCER
Newark Valley (0-4) at Elmira Notre Dame (2-2-2), 6 p.m.: The Cardinals have suffered three one-goal losses while ND’s setbacks have been close battles.

SVEC (4-1) at Trumansburg (3-0-1), 4:30 p.m.: The Eagles, winners of four straight, look to knock off the unbeaten Blue Raiders on the road.

FIELD HOCKEY
Maine-Endwell at Newark Valley (0-5), 4:30 p.m.: NV has a tough challenge in a resurgent M-E foe.

Owego (3-2) at Moravia, 4:30 p.m.: The River Hawks were victorious in their trip to Section III.

SVEC (2-4) at Marathon, 4:30 p.m.: The Eagles are coming off a win over Newark Valley.

GIRLS TENNIS
Chenango Forks (3-4) at Owego (0-7), 5 p.m.: Forks seeks to snap a 3-match skid against the understaffed River Hawks.

VOLLEYBALL
Candor (4-0) at Trumansburg, 6:30 p.m.: T-burg went 7-1 in pool play while the Coyotes were 4-4 in pool play at the Tioga tournament last weekend.

Newark Valley (2-2) at S-VE (4-0), 6:30 p.m.: The Cardinals dropped a pair of 5-set battles last week while the Panthers are coming off a tough day at the Tioga tournament.
