VESTAL — Dylan Brace and Connor Kotski combined to record 15 strikeouts while surrendering just one hit as Owego Teener 14A defeated RBI Baseball, 2-1, in the Tri County Teener League 14U championship game at Arnold Park Sunday.

Brace threw the first 3 ⅓ innings, fanning seven batters while giving up one unearned run, one hit and three walks. Kotski tossed 3 ⅔ innings of hitless ball, striking out eight and walking three.

RBI broke a scoreless deadlock in the bottom of the fourth, following a one-out walk with a pair of errors.

Owego knotted the score in the fifth as Nolan Card walked, Lynkon Craft reached on an error, Lucas Mott walked and Jackson Barrows walked, scoring Card.

In the sixth, Kotski singled, advanced to third on an error and scored on John Farrell’s base hit.

RBI put a runner in scoring position in the sixth and loaded the bases in the seventh, but Owego shut down both threats.

Card went 1-for-2 with a run, Kotski was 1-for-3 with a run and Farrell was 1-for-3 with an RBI.

Owego finished the season with a 12-2 record, avenging both losses in the playoffs.
