TRAVEL BASEBALL: OWEGO’S TAYLOR THROWS TWO INNINGS OF NO-HIT BALL AT PBR FUTURE GAMES (2023-07-30)

EMERSON, Ga. — Owego’s Conlan Taylor pitched two innings of no-hit ball as New York shut out Canada, 7-0, in pool play action at the Prep Baseball Report Future Games here Saturday.

The rising junior walked one batter in the 16U division contest. He threw just 16 pitches.

New York dropped its pool opener, 9-5, to Oklahoma, then beat Connecticut, 5-4, and Colorado, 6-1.

The team went 1-2 in the next round of games, falling to Massachusetts, 9-1, and Connecticut, 5-1, after defeating Canada.

This was Taylor's second trip to Lakepoint. He competed for the New York 14U team in 2021.

The New York roster includes four other STAC players in Chenango Forks pitcher Jack Curtis, Elmira outfielder Aedan Palmer, Horseheads pitcher Micah Hays and Windsor third baseman Ryan Kristof. Also on the team from the IAC is Union Springs shortstop Aaron Johnson.
