SECTION IV TRACK & FIELD: S-VE’S GARRISON WINS 1600 AT CLASS D MEET (2023-05-24) Tioga County Sports Report
MARATHON — With his patented strong finishing kick working well, S-VE’s John Garrison came from behind to win the 1600-meter run in Section IV Class D track & field action Tuesday.
Garrison trailed Carter Stevens of Laurens-Milford for much of the race until kicking it into high gear on the last lap. He recorded a time of 4:36.46, a personal record, while Stevens finished in 4:39.92.
